  • went out this morning, really need some arm warmers, think i lost the feeling in my arms

    get the merino ones.
I have the other and will be getting involved in some bundle action now the merino leg warmers are in.

  • How are you washing it? What temp / cycle / detergent / softener? What else goes in with it?

    #excitingdomesticdiscussions

30deg wash / Standard cottons wash / Asda's own brand finest / Lenor
Can't think of a single piece of clothing I own that has velcro and I never ride with a bag.

  • Lenor
    Oops.

  • Get off my case Mum!

  • Have I stumbled across mumsnet?

  • fabric softener is a big no no for merino.

    Should I use fabric softeners?

We recommend you do not use fabric softeners, because they coat the Merino wool fibers and reduce the fibers' ability to naturally manage moisture and regulate your body temperature.

  • Yes, Becky's a slag and if she comes near my Trevor again I'm going to smash her botox frozen face in.

I dunno let me ask my DH

Does it affect the fibers struturally? That would explain the bobbling perhaps.

I'm not doing a one-off wash for a jersey. Do you think I'm made of money? I've spent it all on Rapha.

  • I
Also splurged on the rain jacket (old 2012 version) from Sigma Sport as they had some left in the sale (boo yea).

    You bastard.

Just spent money on stuff I probably don't need.

Ice breaker base layer, Castelli gilet, gore bibs.
    Curse you 50% off.

Although actually thanks, some good deals there.

  • Buy more Rapha so you have enough for a decent load.

  • Can you collect from the head office?

Sadly not. The London Cycle Club in Brewer St. may be your best bet.

I bought the nikwax wool wash and do a merino wash when I have enough to half-fill the machine.

also have the base wash and base fresh for any lyrca stuff

    mo' money mo 'rino

I do 3 washes a week, colours, whites and cycling. All cycling goes in together, merino, bibs, gloves everything with no softener in delicates 40 wash low spin.

    Thanks.

    I'll pop in after work.

It's for housmates birthday and think posting it will be too risky, time wise.

  • You can order express for another 1:05:00 and receive tomorrow

  • I've worn out my Rapha/Paul Smith leather gloves and really want to get the leather town ones. But £125! Will have to wait for a code to come along.

I also really wish they'd bring out the windproof shirt in black instead of that nasty navy blue. I did have the old grey one but it vanished from my house somehow. I blame a lightfingered ex housemates friend.

Anyone got one in Large they'd like to sell me?

  • Im sure someone above wanted to sell/swap a large windproof shirt?

  • PM me for 15% off code

  • I'm shocked. wool - hand wash or wool cycle...

  • PM me for 15% off code

    gone in 30 seconds

  • I reckon someone from rapha monitors this thread...
