As Ed said further up thread, if you want the most waterproof coat Rapha make, then get a hardshell. I was caught in a horrific downpour on the way home yesterday. Everything got absolutely bloody soaked - other than my torso, which was absolutely bone dry and that is because I was wearing my hardshell.

I'm thinking of getting some nanoflex knee warners - are they pretty good and grippy? I have skinny legs and so some I've tried don't really stay where there supposed to be.
And what's this space age warmth / rain prevention material like? Does it work?
Heated gloves? Are those from Rapha?
Had my Nanoflex knee warmers on today with my 3/4 tights. Have to say performed perfectly. With Castelli stuff being long and slim, these fit more like leg warmers on my short legs so 2 products in 1! win!

anyone would be interested to swap their medium wind shirt or jacket for it? -

They seem grippy enough on my legs. As I mentioned mine cover from above my knee right down to a few inches above my ankle. I wear 3/4 bibs so these overlap on the knees giving extra protection. Worth the investment imo.

So, I have bought a few bits and bobs to get me through the winter riding... Some deep winter gloves and merino liners, a long sleeved base layer, the winter collar, some winter socks and a gilet. Should get me though the worst of it, although I am now skint :(

But so warm.
And epic.Does the Rapha shop sell the Merino arm/leg warmer bundle? or the Radonnée jersey?
Can you collect from the head office? -

I got the classic jersey, really impressed. It keeps me just the right temperature and sweat drys very quickly.
Also splurged on the rain jacket (old 2012 version) from Sigma Sport as they had some left in the sale (boo yea). However, I find that I over heat in this! Does wick away sweat well but a bit boil in the bag.

I need to get a few long sleeved jerseys, are they a slightly heavier material than the short sleeves jerseys?

Usually, yeah.

the classic jerseys are amazing value with the armwarmers. especailly in the cap and socks bundle. My first one is almost 4 years now and while it's relatively see through and more brown than black it's held up well. Some stitching came loose in one of the pockets a few years ago but other than that it's def one of their best products after the proteam bibs.

My classic jersey is pretty 'bobbled'(?) Is this to be expected with wool after a few months use or am I doing something wrong?
If I remember to, I turn it inside out when I chuck it in the washing machine.

How are you washing it? What temp / cycle / detergent / softener? What else goes in with it?

What setting do you wash it on? Is there any velcro anywhere coming in contact with it?

Are you riding with a bag a lot? I.e., is something rubbing on the jersey? Shouldn't bobble just from washing.
decathlon does liners.
rapha on the outside, decathlon on the inside.
