If you want a trail bike the on one fattie is really well rated by people on mtbr and ukfatbikes, and is really reasonably priced.
At the moment my lynskey 29er is getting no use, the fat bike is so much fun.
The rider is much more important than the bike. Buy something, ride it into the ground and then think about what you do and don't like. Over analising the purchase of a first bike is fairly pointless. The on one is a good place to start and you may just decide to upgrade bits.
