Gaston gone mad, in a good way :)

Looks great, but those pedals look horrible to ride, surely better off with something like MKS touring?
They're ok. Now it's easy to change bars and add cages when I want to do a trip.

Has anyone ever used CycloX-King RaceSport 700 x 32C black - Black Chili - Folding Tyre for cyclocross? Any good?

• #83837
The rear wheel on my bob is creaking an the spoke tension is really low, can see it looks more out of true when riding than it does when you just spin it freely, is this a sign of something worse than needing a truing?
-
• #83838
truing /=tensioning... have it looked at soon or you may have to put up with walking home after a bad taco experience.

I threw a few bits together today. Still need to fit cog, chain, brake etc and torque everything up. And probably cut the steerer, too.

I was recommended Challenge cx tyres, Fango/Grifo. (by Andy)
The Grifo can be had for 25quid a pop online atm - which seems excellent value

There's two versions of the clincher Grifo though, cheaper ones are 60tpi, and the proper open tubulars are 300tpi, and I'd imagine the 300tpi version is much better.

Yeah i bought a pair of barely use grifos online for £20 but theyre the black 32c ones and they dont look as impressive as the 33c tan walls which get loads of good reviews

on the subject of 'cross, turned my pearson from commuter/do-it-all with 28c slick tyres and mudguards, to a fixed cross bike.
Going to do the Waffa™ supercross at the end of the month, "fun" category for novices like me.
Had the rear tyre blowout when i first fitted it, probably a combo of overinflating and sticking a 35c tyre on halo aerotrack rims. What's the likelihood of me rolling the tyre off/having another blowout in use?

• #83845
You just need to run the tyres at a higher pressure than normal.

Any issues with a titanium seatpost in a titanium frame? They're not going to become as one are they?

Made some progress on the Dawes Galaxy - should be rolling mid week!
so this looks like this right now...
new BB in, cleaned cranks on, mudguards on, front and rear mechs cabled up
wrestling with the cantis at the moment. -

Ha! I was going to post the same kind of reply^^, but thought to myself - leave it, yeah!?
