I'm meeting some mates tonight for a few drinks and maybe a burger somewhere central, where should we go? I have not had the energy to follow the burger debate.
For a burger and some beers, P&B, for just the food, Five Guys

Caulifower rice is a find; blitz florets and stir fry with prawns egg chilli soy sauce and garlic. Screw you carbs.

How long does sour cream stay edible?
I had some in my fridge which I'd opened two weeks ago. Chucked it out but it still looked alright, could I have got away with it?

Just been to shake shack.
The patty just does not stand up to the others about.
Did like the cheese and bun. -

Someone told me to try marmite and peanut butter.
I thought they were mad....
Just had buttered warm toast with marmite and crunchy
peanut butter on top.
Omg.
So good. -

So good. Now try it with the peanut butter on first and the marmite smeared into it. For some reason, I prefer it this way.

As with all dairy products, taste it and you'll know if it's off. -

My flatmate gave me a taste of his meat and caper pizza from il bacio earlier. Now all I can think about is how much I want a salty meaty pizza right now despite not being remotely hungry. I may not be capable of sleep until action is taken.

Union Street Cafe, surprisingly expensive, ended up being £50 per head, 3 people. Didn't feel like we had £50 worth.
- 2 beers
- a cocktail - said to barman, I have a cold, you have free license to make me anything with whisk(e)y in it. A delicious warm Makers Mark Ginger Citrus Egg-white thing came.
- Shared two starters/antipasti - £9 Buratta?! - highlight, but this is my fav thing in the world
- £9 for 3 anchovies
- £25 bottle of wine - normal, not crazy - Cesanese De Notari - also a highlight
- Two pasta mains and a fish - £14 each. Rigatoni and Tagliatelle were both too salty. I have a cold and could still tell so wtf?
- 3 deserts - £6/7 each. Tiramisu amazingly disappointing, Tesco can probably do better. Pistachio gelato got the thumbs up. I had a taste, not as good as the ones I had in Sicily, but hey :)
Service was a bit weird. 1 was charming, 1 was cold, 1 was frightened, 2 were indifferent.
We were tended to by a number of different people, all a bit confusing. 1 took orders, 3 different people delivered food, 2 cleared, 1 just did drinks where bottle water topped up with tap. - 2 beers

Oh dear. The apostrophe people won't like this.
Just been having the debate in the office about what is the best thing to come out of the BBQ boom. It's got to be beef ribs surely? But everyone is saying pulled pork. What does LFGSS think?
