I'm not sure, I would like a carbon breaking surface and I don't really like the lacing on the modern rear campagnolo wheels...

definitely change the saddle.

;) the rolls goes back to the Pinarello... I'm not sure if a Arione or a Prologo will do... The same for stem, seatpost and bars... Probably the best will be a 3T all-everything

I know what you mean re lacing - it's not for everyone. I'm biased though as I have them on my road bike and really rate them performance wise.

^^ didn't the C40 have an odd seatpost size? Just a thought before diving for 3T and finding you can't match the post. On wheels I've always thought C40 and Ambrosio Nemesis .. or similar Roubaix hand built wheel.

It's a 28mm but i have already a proper shim to take it down to 27.2 ;)

Finally the groupset is complete:
Sold the Ksyrium and got a set of Attacks:
Still thinking if to go for Ergonovas/Arx (black edition) or something more classy, I don't want to do any mistake at this point :)

Any good?Honestly I didn't have time to try it, I've sold the front before finding a rear, now will stick to the Attacks...

This is so goddam cool.
I usually think original looks the best but in my opinion 90s Campagnolo is so inelegant all the way up to 2006-ish. Those shifters you have are beautiful, really nice shape
Excited to see this finished!

are the c40s 1 1/8" or did you have to use a shim?

This is how I picked her up from Condor today, stem angle is worst than I thought, but fuck me, it's a mental machine.
on the scale it's about 7.5 kg, not bad....

One of the only Colnagos I've looked at and thought, "I'd gladly own that."
Hi everybody,
It's time for my C40 to have a restyling, soon the Pinarello Montello will be fixed/repainted so the old chorus groupset that now i'm running on the C40 will go back to the steel one.
I started to collect the new groupset (campagnolo super record 11) and i'm still missing the rear derailleur, brakes and of course a wheelset (suggestions please).
I want to upgrade the cockpit/seatpost but I'm not quite sure what to do.
I'm looking anyway to keep a carbon/black style for components and wheelset, without been bulky or ridiculously branded....
The nago now:
And gathered parts:
