How much rad-gnar can you shred on a bike designed for riding on an ultra flat track surface?
Will it have a back brake fitted? If not then the nice and sharp new disc brake will be compromised by the fear of being sent over the bars due to the insane h/a.
'Raise the front' I'm hearing. That'll do wonders for the steering. It'll turn it into a lame hybrid in no time.
Knobbly tyres? I'd rather ride good geo on street tyres than street geo on good tyres.
The asda shit bike I posted above was excessive, but I reckon even that would be more fun, cheaper and more reliable than a tinkered with pre-cursa. Though for swinley's manicured trails it doesn't really matter. Though I'd rather ride a step through shopper than a track bike off road
Edit- above was aimed at tester, sorry chak, not being mean
Naah, no worries. If I wanted soothing words I'd have gone into mumsnet. Well, the way I see it, I can't really lose either way. If it doesn't work out or bucks me to oblivion, it simply becomes a street beater and I'll abandon dirt to those that like squirming in it on weekends. Frankly though, if people rode up mountains on wooden carts back in the day, I can htfu and do some off roading on rubber tyres. I'm London stuck, there's not really much I can do with dirt here anyway
If I like it, maybe sell and fund a proper machine, if not, I'll go back to my rad fixie skidz! I know I'll enjoy it regardless, simple because its been over 10 years since I've ridden anything off road, including that shopper.
Thuekr's here is an FXE, but am sure he had a pre cursa before.
Alkali what's on your tits? He wants to try a bit of fixed off roading, not like he is looking to build a serious off road machine, just a bit of fun...

That's pretty much exactly what I had in mind.
