General rule of thumb: Any tablet that runs vanilla Android rocks, anything that runs a flavoured Android sucks.
And a clarification on that: If you run a flavoured Android it may not suck today, but it will tomorrow.
They are just far less supported, have more quirks, the user experience isn't as well thought-out, not all updates are delivered in a timely manner if at all.
Stick with vanilla Android and the end-to-end experience rocks for as long as the device lives.
Reason I ask is I can get a tab 3 8" with wifi and 3G (4G ready) with 2Gb data for £20 a month with Vodaflam
However, I could also pick up a Nexus 7 16Gb for £199 outright and just tether it to my phone!
The stylus and mutli task/split screen appeals though
