Another thing I was wondering about is the serial number; both frame and forks are stamped MX 108. Is this the 108th frame they made with Max tubing? can't seem to find any info on Somec serial numbers online.

that's the sad part of the somec history. i tried to get any information on my golden somec track back in 2009 and contacted somec but they said all old information were lost while they were sold to a new owner/company. also the internet won't help you.
