He's already had one failed bite of the cherry with Portsmouth, and if Leicester do make it up, I wonder if the owners will have a little faith or try to buy in a "top top top" striker to get them the goals they'll need to stay up..
Nugent has had a couple of good seasons with us - 15 goals a season in the Championship is a reasonable return, but not great. The fans like him because he does work hard for the team and can turn games (Derby at home last season). This season he's been average and has scored 6 or 7 but all but one have come from the penalty spot. His work rate has dropped and Vardy is doing much more for the team. Our goals tend to come from midfield anyway - King, Drinkwater, Dyer.
I still like Nugent though. Vince wrote to him last season (age 8) and said, if he sent him an autograph, he'd send him one back when he plays for Leicester. Got an autograph and a nice note from him.
