    OK, now for question time:

1-The front of the lower Chorus headset cup touches the top of the front brake nut. I'll take a picture tomorrow if that isn't clear, but even with two anti-rotation washers on the front of the brake nut the clearance is too close. Is there a different headset (such as modern 1" Record) that has a lower profile bottom cup? Could I run a 1mm or 2mm spacer under the crown race?

2-The 16h Campagnolo Vento wheels that came with the frameset are 8sp, but seem to be 130 OLD. Is this normal? I was expecting them (and the frame) to be 126mm. The 36h Record to Open Pros that I have are also 130 OLD, as are some 9 speed Chorus to DT Swiss that I have. I can't try the 9 speed cassette on the Vento or Open Pro wheelsets as the cassette bodies are different. Ideally I would either a) like to run 9 speed on the Open Pros or b) sell the Open Pros and re-lace the Chorus hubs to 32h TB14s

3-If I can't do the above, could I just swap cassette bodies?

3-My Campagnolo cassette lockring removal tool strangely slots right into one lockring, but not into another, and likewise is not useable for the Athena and Chorus bottom brackets I have. It won't fit, but it almost fits. Did Campagnolo change the spline specs recently?

4- Should I ditch all these crazy Record Ti 9 speed plans and go 11 speed Athena? I've been staring at this for far too long today: http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s238/danlayton/Mercian1.jpg

5- Is a mixed Record Ti group a crime? I.e. inverted logos on some parts, not on others...

I'm also planning on cutting 1cm off the steerer, but I'm gonna wait for point 1 above to be resolved first as I don't wanna do anything irreversible.

Pics of all the parts I have so far tomorrow; some are nice, some are temporary.
