Expecting a 1 in 2 striker to score every other game or a 1 in 3 striker to score every third game is ridiculous.
All strikers are going to have runs where they do not score and it is the sign of a top striker that it is 4 or 5 or 7 games not 15 or 20 or even 40. Failing to score for a month is meaningless.
Its a bit like the one on one Defoe failed to score vs Jussi. That miss says nothing to me about Defoe. If he was capable of scoring every single chance presented to him he would be God and would get 80 or 150 goals every season. What makes him a top striker is that over the course of 20 games or a season he nets at a damn good ratio of goals to games
