Ride of the Falling Leaves

  • I'm going to attempt to ride this like a grown up- not smashing it on the middle (flat) section so I have something left for the final third and all it's cheerful climbs.

What would be ideal would be tucking into a big group doing ~30mph for the middle sector, and being towed along doing bugger all, of course.

  • This ride last year marks the occasion I stopped riding bikes :) not in it this time around, but it's always a good one. Especially when the weather plays along, which it looks to be doing this weekend.

  • the offer's still open for you to ride with us ^^

  • Dammit, you want to be stalking the dulwich cat 2 "bimble", close enough for the benefit but not too close that you hear the abuse for shirking your turn on the front ;)

  • I'll play it by ear. No doubt my intentions will go out the window when I got on the road.

  • Does anyone have a spare entry for this one? Thanks

Dammit, I'll tow you around the middle bit if you pace me on climbs :) looking forward to seeing your di2 covered in mud again.

  • @ Regal, Rik Van Looy, inchpincher, hats and whoever else is going at 9:30am.... I'll tag along with you guys. Whilst not as quick as skinny, 6pt, hippy and Dammit, I'm feeling in quite good condition. So feel free to huddle in the bosom of my wake.

You'll spot me easily. Look for the 6ft3in guy with the moustache and steel Daccordi. I should look exactly like this:

This'll all be much easier when we have LFGSS CC jerseys....

  • Didn't want to get lost so ended up making my own google map of the route.

Looking like a warmone so i'll be taking two bottles.
Light winds so aerowheels are staying put

  • Would like to sell my entry for this if anyone is interested as I can't make it. Thanks - am new so perhaps can't be DM'd?

  • I forgot to print my ticket out- can I show them the email on my phone or do they require the paper?

  • Oh yeah. Ticket printing. I forgot that.

  • My bro and I should be popping down for about 9:30. Donations to charity and a pocket full of bananas... if you know what I mean.

  • Anyone in South East London have a printer?

  • I do.

  • If I email you the ticket, would you be kind enough to print it?

  • Sure thing, got your email.

  • When are you around until?

  • I'm preparing for this ride by sitting around drinking still cider and feeling glum about all the things I need to do (in lieu of actually doing them, obvs).

  • When are you around until?

I'm going out in an hour but someone should be at home if you can't make it to mine before then. Or could meet you somewhere central-ish between 4 and 7.

    That's pro level preparation.

I doff my cap to you.

  • If anyone wants a laugh after they've finished, pop back into the velodrome and enjoy round 5 of the London Cyclocross League. Heckling encouraged (and I'm racing from 1230 for the faster riders amongst you).

I'll pop down now, if I don't make it before you go out, please leave it somewhere obvious?

  • Cool, see you shortly! I'll let you know if I go out before you get here.

  • enjoy
