ACL query: would typically involve a torsional injury accompanied by a pop and immediate swelling. That is textbook but not always so clear cut. Get it checked out by physio or decent GP / sports physician. Try to reduce swelling and increase range of movement asap.
Knee v handlebar: likely subchondral bruising. From 30deg bend there is more PFJ contact hence pain with bending. Can take a while to settle even with rest. If swelling and pain ++ may be better to skip mtb race.
