I had a short list up top end brands to kit myself out with. With less than ideal conditions in mind.
Castelli - Great fabrics for poor weather, great chamios - But horrible fit.
Assos - Numerous great fabrics, cleverly combined - But no wool, ugly jerseys and v. expensive
Skins - amazing fit, and a great chamois - But I find the materials cold.
Rapha - Great fabrics, including lots of wool, and a subtle look.
I suspect I put too much of my faith in wool for nordic cycling. But I know it'll keep me warm even if I get wet, and its looked after me on some wet mountain hikes.
