Today is the fiftieth anniversary of the start of 'The Fugitive', the TV series with David Janssen as opposed to the film with Harrison Ford. The first episode, 'Fear in a Desert City', aired on September 17th, 1963, at 10pm (consistent across time zones, I think) on ABC. It is often rated as one of the best TV series of all time.

Really bad ending...as Pifko says, the whole 8th series was weak as piss, complete let down
