just seen the last couple of pages, terrible news about the seattube! Thought it looked like a seatpost may have been used above minimum insertion or slightly too small and flexed.
I think modern groupsets on steel frames can look good, im pretty happy with the athena on mine but thats relatively classic looking. A black campag build would be my preference. Dont think the modern Ultegra/Dura Ace cranksets would look quite so good on one of these which leaves you force/red or chorus/record but the parts you've bought to date are silver/ti
the blue/light blue fade a page or two ago is amazing, would be very tempted by that were i going for a respray
