Given the type of customer those bike are, not really.
commuter and sportif riders somehow spend most of their time on the biggest sprocket which accelerate the wear and tear of the chain and chainring, which are a fairy common issues, especially on bicycle that have a 11-23 block.
Having a larger cassette mean that the average rider are less likely to wear them out.
