Arrrgggh it was Tedious Wanky Fucking Shitballs! Ok riddle me this, why did NOBODY even mention cloning? In 2027?! Why do The Fishes chase them down to get the baby? What are they going to do if they get it? Not explained, at all. The scene where the soldiers and everybody stop shooting at the sight of...... A baby? It's been eighteen years and no one has conceived, and yet somebody does.... randomly? And the world goes to shit? For what reason?

Possibly one of the worst films I've ever sat through

I'm no critic and have the analytical mind of a 12 year old sniffing glue and I can answer that.
Cloning? While we've made many scientific breakthroughs, it's still pretty tough to make a full sized baby. You think we'll be able to do while society is on the cusp of a complete breakdown?
Chased down for baby? Easy. Power, influence and control. Lord of the Flies conch style.
Stopping soldiers? Ever see a woman get on the bus with a pram? Everyone makes way, now multiply that by a shit load of soldiers some of who have never even seen what a human baby looks like. It's like going into a crowded room holding a working Lightsaber.
Somebody suddenly makes a baby? Well...somebody suddenly realised that eating too Sugar gives you diabetes. Genetic mutation man.

As for the world going nuts? If you looked up and an asteroid was heading for Earth, what would you do? Go wash your car?

It's a "what If" scenario, it's not going to pander to your every question. I'd say engage your mind, but it seems you have, only in the opposite direction. If you feel like picking near non-existent holes in everything you watch as some sort of basis for criticism, then that's on you. It's called Science "fiction" for a reason.

I for one, am gonna go re-watch it in 1080 multiple times to burn it into my retina.
