Yup it's shit, that's 2 frames and a pair of forks this year due to outside circumstances.
Sucks, kid. Didn't you crash the Brooklyn yourself though?
-
• #31903
Yup although I still maintain that wasn't 100% my fault, more like 90% lol, The other frame I was referring to was my Dave Russell that was taken out while locked up, no CCTV in the area and no idea who the driver was.

R.I.P VISP
On the upside you can get something that fits you now!

Still reluctant to do that as I'd likely need custom and haven't stopped growing yet, also changed since my last bike fit and the forumer who fitted me up for free* has gone off to Uni :(
All that being said the forme did fit me how it's supposed to, it has a 58cm TT and short seattube/head tube so it fitted more like a bro pro.

What are you asking for, all other things aside, purely in terms of damage to your bike?
-

How old are you now Indra?
I'm back at Christmas -

Will PM shortly, I don't wish to derail this thread further, when everything is settled I will likely do a proper write up.
How old are you now Indra?

Buy something made of of steel, like a Brother's Swift... Cheap, strong, and should be a good fit for you looking at their sizing chart.

^ This. Real nice frame for the money.
-
• #31913
I think you should start building your own frames.
Out of scaffolding poles. -
• #31914
i don't have enough crap hanging from my saddle these days

It is lovely! If I was going with of steel I'd probably wait for the TF dart to compare prices/geo.
If I'm honest my heart is set on a parallax but my mind says no.
-
• #31916
it won't fit you. you need longer seat tubes!
-
• #31917
I'd vote +1 for Brother's Swift Track.

Why not Ingria Air Pusher?

True, I can only dream :(

Why not Ingria Air Pusher?
Why not zoidberg?
I don't really want a bro pro to be honest.

Send the Russell to a framebuilder and get trashed tubes replaced.
Got to be better/more unique/cheaper/more satisfactory/lighter than a Brother/Dart or whatever far east fab steel and you know it fits..... -
• #31923
...and you know it fits.....
But does he?!?!?!?
-
• #31924
Haha
(I'm glad that when I was 16 the internet did not exist and I could ride ludicrous & back-breaking geometry without a host of arm-chair bike fitters taking the piss!)
Back then your only reference was pro-bikes in magazines and how you and your mates set up the bikes they'd long since grown out of. I was reminded of those days a few months back when I found a 150mm Eclypse stem in my shed.... -

Well he said he's grown into the Visp at 58cm, Dave was something like 54cm top tube...
