The stress of modern life...

Maggie. Could do better! My blind cat used to be able to walk a fence without that sort of nonsense.

Maybe Maggie's go a fear of heights and my mog was blissfully unaware of the terrible drop onto spiky rocks which lay beneath/

I'm gonna cross post the shit out of Lucifur Catkins for your delectation. Actually, she's been a naughty little bastard today 'cos she pissed on my bike-working-dust-sheet, but she's quite sweet normally. Here's she is watching porn on my computer in the dark.

We lost our precious Maine Coon Lucius to a car.
Utterly devastated.
Been crying all night and day, and was violently sick from the shock, miss him so so much.

• #5439
I'm really sorry to hear that, he looks like an awesome cat.
-
• #5440
That's awful TA, I am sorry to hear it.
-
• #5441
He was indeed the most awesome cat.
We hade cuddles most days, and slept on our bed every night, but not on Friday.
Thankful that a nice lady in the village found him, and we didnt have months of never knowing.

Just cycling off to work this morning, and noticed Bertie in the pub car park and a woman following him. (we live next to a pub)
I stopped, cycled back to the pub and said oh thats our cat Bertie, because I was wondering what she was doing.
She said yes i know !?
I said how do you know ?
She apparently lives or works there... might be the land lady, she was worried about the lorry deliveries and that he might get run over.... she was feeding him cat biscuits ! (cos most people have cat biscuits in their pockets !)
Should I not be annoyed that she was feeding him biscuits.
He has got a bit chubber lately and I thought it was because he is just becoming a man and all, but now I think I have a second feeder who wants my kitteh !?
Anyway I cycled off, but all the way I was thinking I should of told her not to feed him !
If she didnt feed him he wouldnt be in the bloody car park to start with. -

Our downstairs neighbours used to feed Higgs treats- since they moved away she's a) got a lot thinner and b) started being in our flat a lot more.
I think Dan put a collar on his cat saying that the cat was diabetic, so please don't feed it- that might work? Bit of a white lie.
That said, it's an advantage that the lady wishes to prevent Bertie from getting run over I would think.

So sad to hear about Lucius, he looked like such a gorgeous creature
Unfortunately I am resigned to the fact that my lovely old cat Felix has passed on, he hasn't been seen in over 2 weeks and he was 20 years old.
-
• #5445
20! good innings for Felix. sorry for your loss, Kat.

@Nick-Nack: I don't think it's out of order to just say "could you try not to feed him? he's putting on a bit of weight"

So after being presumed dead for 3 weeks my old cat came home today.

He's shinier and healthy looking so I assume he has a holiday home
