Anyone else venture out look at anything during Open House today?
I arrived at Battersea Power Station just as they decided no-one else could see it (at 13:30), so we headed upriver to the Foster Partners studio instead. It was great, from a complete architectural layperson point of view, to have a glimpse into the studio that has produced some hugely iconic buildings (and made some amazing scale models of said buildings), and to have a bit of a talk by one of their structural engineers about the company's operation and procedures.
Biggest disappointment of the day was finding out that a plastic bottle recycling plant in Dagenham was giving tours, only to find out shortly after that we would have had to have booked in advance.
