yup, plus Italian threads are 36mm vs. 1.370" (34.8mm) for BSC so if you offer up a BSC NDS cup to an Italian shell it will be very obviously loose, even though the thread handing and pitch is the same; conversely, an Italian cup offered up to a BSC shell will be very obviously too big.
The chance that it is neither BSC nor Italian is very small
