  • As far as the painting goes, it's by no means a flawless job - painting outside over a week, has some obvious drawbacks - but I'm happy with it,

    I wouldn't use the Montana paint if I were you. It was cheap - cost me a score to do the whole frame in primer and neon yellow. I found exactly the same colour choices as the Montana range in a car shop on Holloway road, it might not be any better but I would think it will be. There is about 9-10 coats of paint and 4 coats of lacquer. This took me 7 days. 2 days to prime, 4 days to do the main colour and then a day to lacquer - I have since left it for 2 weeks to harden (i.e went on holiday).

    If I were doing it again, I'd buy a handle (Spotter told me to, I ignored) sand more fully to start/during the primer, wear a mask the whole time, fully dis-assemble and not mask and place the paint cans in hot water (Ive read this the paint application).

    On the look out for a Syntace stem now.
