  • First month very strict. No Fruit and Any starchy veg.
In that time pretty much I only ate tuna, chicken, beef, eggs, bacon, spinach, broccoli avocado and so on.
After that I'm bit more relaxed and stopped being worried about carb content of some veg. Every now and then will have a handful of berries as a treat. Came up with some mad snacks to replace sweets.
If you train a lot a weekly carb up would be advised. that would be called CKD.
Idea is that your last workout of the week (let's say Friday) you'd push as hard as you can which will deplete your muscle from glycogen. that evening (still controlling a calorie intake) you drop your fat intake but boost carbs. Let it be anything you want but I would recommend keeping it "smart" with nice carbs instead of junk food.
I've made a mistake on my 6th week of eating proper junk and just made me feel sick.
I actually at this point managed to dial my body into Ketosis so well that I don't count calories so much but just listen to my own body.
Remember to read up properly before going carb free. Your energy source is FAT. Protein needs to be ideally on a level to sustain your muscle. You should never over eat protein.

Very good read about CKD is here

Fist month was quite bad. but after all it all pays off. Highly recommended.
Btw I'm not stopping this. It kind of became the new and right way to eat for me. My energy levels are high, food is very satisfying (all that cheese and bacon...), my legs are ripped like never before and now I'm going to focus on building some muscle on upper body.
