I hate walking on that kind of terrain, rocks/boulders that move around and twist your ankles. Feels so great to be on a flattish surface after that.

Exactly my sentiment after going back on the (hire) bike and did a nice 90km ride around Luchon.

X-E1 hands down. And the 27mm 2.8 pancake and the 14mm 2.8!

I have done a quick check on the body size of the X-E1, it's actually almost identical to the X100 with the pancake lens, my only (ineptly) nag is not having the nice distinctive rangefinder design of the X100 but I'll live with it.
