Do hub bodies really shift or twist enough that it makes a difference which end of the hub gets the torque ?
Old fashioned ones with skinny barrels did, and any hub with a separate barrel and flanges obviously can't transmit much, if any, torque across the hub - think Airlite Continental, early Hope, and Mavic Aksium for examples from the 1950s, 1990s and 2010s.
