  • ^ why did you do this?

    Indeed, why?

  • hilarious overreaction!

  • When in doubt, removed everything.

    You pillock.

  • ahhhh i can't get the cable in, the only solution must be to cut it off!!!!!!

  • Luke, I have a pair of Record Pista - Ceramic tubs (with one decent tub) if you're interested/want to return that rear if the lock thread's fucked.

  • Itch needed scratching?

Don't worry, this is only a dream...

  • They're GP4s. Just checked. Built by Keith at Deeside Cycles, tied and soldered, never braked on. Peachy.

  • thanks Doug, going to try Sargent & co, see if he can get it free. hoping they can be salvaged. if not i will give you a call.

  • Cool, no worries!

  • Thanks for the stepped ferrule info. After all this happend...

With heating I used this and it worked well:

......and the bottom bracket is Italian!
With a little elbow grease this also worked out well:

  • mmmmm green

Transparent camo detailing yay or nay?

  • I'd say this is porn, don't ruin it!

Edit: But it also depends on the build.. Those new SRAM chainrings would look amazing with camo I guess.

  • Ha, SRAM and Amey do not go together.

    Your old CAAD was nicer.

  • Ultegra 6700 + rotor 3D+

    #Shimano4lyf

Actually I was open to Sram this time mainly because their grouppos are lighter just didnt get hold of any. Wasnt going to settle for anything less than force.

  • Rotor 3D+ >>>>>

Just out of interest Amey, would the cost of 6700 and Rotor 3D+ not have almost cost the same as mech Dura Ace?

  • Nope, cost me less than £450 for the whole group including rotor, the shifters are lightly used.

    <<<<<<<<< ebay

  • That is rad. Wouldnt go came tho.

  • Finally added a new chain and changed thebar setup on my lo pro.. i overdid the saddle angle tweak and it needs non recycled bar tape but pleased its back on the road..

Fair, that's fucking cheap. That is almost as cheap as my Force cost me. Have to say, I prefer the newer Rotor 3D+ though. But I prefer anything with GXP over anything Rotor :-)

  • I finished this for a friend at the weekend.
1994 MBK Mirage Pro, 56cm, Campagnolo Mirage 3x8 speed, Columbus Cromor:

Similar frame to the one I build up for my brother last year (1992 MBK Mirage Pro, 56cm, 105, Columbus Aelle):

    Y'all need Campag

  • Continued work on this Bernard Carre 58cm:

Next step is putting clinchers on, fresh bar tape, hoods, cables and chain.

Will get on it this weekend

I was on the look out for force, didnt find any.

I am using BSA30 BB and the frame is BSA as I never wanted BB30 in first place, these came up on merlin for £200 excluding BB.

I am in favour of light alloy cranks over carbon though. Hence shimano/rotor.
