I did not pay attention to the real route when out with mespilus junior & a mate the other Sunday, returning from a gentle ride along the Thames.
We went along the A312 near km 40, rejoining the official route at km 47.9 (junction A4/A312).
There is a purpose built cycle path, on 'our' side of the road all the way to km 52.5, (Junction with A4020).
Then it's back on the A312 Parkway, where we turned off towards Ruislip at km 55.1
