  • ha ha!

    Pinarello, Pinarello!

  • You can avoid that road!

Just go further up and take the next right.

  • That's cheating, the muck from that lane should be the reason for the final clean of the good bike before it gets put away for the winter.

  • Pinarello, Pinarello!

    Was a very funny moment.

  • heard its almost full.. act now if you want in 'officaly'

It was full when I went to enter last night. Looks to be a good route though

Anyone know if there's an option to sign up on the line?
Would I be considered a very bad person if I rode it anyway?

  • The lap of the velodrome might be taking the piss a bit, but the rest of it is public roads innit.

    Don't believe so.
No, it's a free world to ride where you want.

Rik van Looy only ever rode at the wheel of Eddy Merckx.

I really dislike this company. Even more so..

  • I am also in, fixed. Might get a bigger cog for it, though, ho hum.

The Tour of Lombardy is historically known as the Race of the Falling Leaves, and DP used that name as inspiration for their ride. I don't see why anyone else can't do the same.

  • ^ exactly. Who cares. It's like people complaining that Torm copied Rapha.

Would love to go watch the TOL one year - Lake Como is one of the most beautiful places I have been.

  • if any spare tickets for this show up. please let me know.

    Thanks!

especially when you consider that rapha copied rapha...

    Thanks!

Can you not just ride the route (excluding the velodrome start) and make a donation to appropriate cycling charity if you feel guilty?

  • Looking forward to this, I'll be bringing a couple of new friends and hoping to hook up with some old again. Final outing for the summer bike before a full teardown re-lube and cover for the winter. Still can't decide between a cross or a 29er though...

  • cross can use as road bike too

  • £20? Is this a race? Anyway, it's sold out. Can I just join in?

  • Bring your own chips and beer. Then we can call you names when you overtake us.

  • Dimi it's just a bike ride on public roads - the £20 just gets you food at the stops and beer/food at the end. I normally end up at the Regent anyway though.

  • Cool, thanks.

  • I'm unable to ride this on Sunday.

If someone would like my entry a £20 donation to the forum would seal the deal.

    PM if you're interested.
