Only if you can get a child proof version...
Oh yeah, I actually came here to post that today I accidentally left my mocha pot to boil... Still tasted nicer than instant.
You should try an espresso.

I know it's a speciality concern but >>>> that civit coffee is cruel
New BBC report on this cruel Civet cat coffee: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-24034029
It's really sad that so many of the priciest consumables in the world are also the least ethical. :(

I am looking at buying a new kettle, purely for coffee. Does this take me to the next level of nerd? Or is this normal?
A few days late, but I got this one a while ago: http://www.coffeehit.co.uk/bonavita-1-0l-gooseneck-variable-temperature-kettle-1009
It really had a good effect on the quality of my pourover coffee. The nice thing is you can set it to a temperature and it will hold it for an hour.
As for next-level nerdiness, what's worse nerdiness-wise: Buying an 85 pound kettle or boiling water and then using a thermometer to get the temp right?

I realize that show isn't 100% accurate in its ability to describe good stimulants but when is the last time you bragged to your friend about your rad sumatran beans?
They are on some 90s french roast shit.

Can anyone recommend a cheaper bag of beans that's still decent? Tired of our office coffee so gonna bring my own in, but can't justify £5.50-£7 / week for Pact / Monmouth / Allpress. Maybe be something around the £4 mark?

Anyone want my Gaggia Classic? Could do with a clean and a descale but was working fine when I last used it. Only caveat is that one of the two allen bolts that holds the groupset in has rounded out so if you were ever to need to replace the seal you would need to find a way of extracting that bolt.
Make me an offer. Not desperate to get rid of it I just don't use it enough to justify the space it takes up, happy enough to just use my aeropress as and when I want a good cup.
Pick up only by the way, SE5
anyone?

Some friends have just opened Craft Coffee on Sclater St, everyone should go.
