I'm considering ditching my iphone (when it stops working) and getting a Fairphone (http://www.fairphone.com/). Has anyone on here pre-ordered one?
I'm going to the launch next week (there will be some prototypes on show) and hopefully there will be a good response when the finished product is released in December.
edit - just did a search and noticed that a couple of people have ordered them, there are quite a few events happening at their Soho pop-up next week, hopefully I'll be there on Wednesday and Friday. The upgradable/modular ideas being floated around by them will be very interesting if they get implemented (we're probably quite a few years away from this happening).
