What sort of pace are we looking at...?

A thousand traffic lights,
a thousand zebra crossings,
my 'training route' in outer west London is very similar.
SportsTracker on my Nokia N8 tells me +/- 12 mph average.
(Although the first bit of waht I have, laughingly, offered to 'lead'
could well be the only opportunity to get to 20+).

You're coming past the end of our road at 11miles (BR3 6RQ). I've a well stocked tool shed and stand, so if there's mechanicals feel free to drop in.

There's an outdoor water tap for fill ups as well.

Do it anyway! There's no conceivable way that I'm going to make the distance. I'm just going to die trying. It'll be an honourable way to go...

Hah. Longest ride I've done so far for years is about 65km.

I may "in" closer to the time if I get some more miles under my belt.

too many people will be a nightmare
trying to keep everyone together through a 1,000 sets of traffic lights would be like herding cats

I've just discovered this bit of LFGSS madness - brilliant.

I have also heard about a plan for a charity ride in aid of http://www.bluelamp-foundation.org/ the ride will go to the main police station in every London borough. Apparently there is huge interest from police, fire and ambulance people from all over the country.
How about merging the rides?

That would ensure a clear red light policy

Interestingly insane. I may join if circumstance allows.

Oh yeah there is a good amount of shiting myself going on over here but its to stupid and fantastic an idea not to do (or try to do)

Planning on arriving at Chislehurst at 7:27am which should give me enough time to find the start... but I'm not smart and neither is my phone so if I balls up and get lost or the train is delayed, is there a number I can call?

Anyone coming in from Brixton (or anywhere south-ish)? And short of riding or heading into London Bridge... how are you heading out?
