• Whats the deal with paint/powder coating? Is it faux pas to do it? Let me have the knowledge!!

Chrome would be pimp, but could be beyond my price range to get it..

For Gios Compact, the frame number is 901114.

    Hy there,
the bike was build in 1989/90.Due to the Pictures I*´m not quite sure if its a Compact or allready a Compact Pro (what I do think)?! Please publish some Pictures of the inner side of the rear drop out ends so we can take a look. The structure has been build up stronger after quite a lot of the first compacts broke apart at this crucial Point.*

The compact range was never offered in Chrome, but throughout the decades in quite a lot of horrible colours/two tone laquers: blue, white, red, black, pink and green with violett, blue and white aso...

Regarding the fact, that this bike must not compete versus steel-oldies ( it wont get a starting number for classic steel races) and you would like to use it as a daily Driver and sporting good - do some powdercoating in blue. There are some companys in GB who do an astonishing good Job in that. And it even protects/conserves your bike better than a fragile paint Job. If you like to build it up for real, send it to GIOS in Bella Italia and let them do the paint and the decals (costs around 360 - 420 € I guess) going chromed is about 700,-€ (in Germany)
