Tune DC 16/17 ? You need to be really careful cutting them down to ensure the threaded side is fully on the thread and not half on the thread, half on the reduced centre section of the skewer .. If they are DC 16/17 I'd take them back and get the correct road DC 14. It's the same design only with the correct length skewers

Mine are the Skyline ones, I went for the MTB over the road ones cos I thought they be a bit more heavy duty. I suppose I could always swap them for a road set.
