It's an old thread, and the old surface was a devil on lightweight tubs towards the end of it's life. In fact it was quite nasty to clinchers too!
The new Tarmac…? Well it's so grippy you could use practically anything, but I'd still go for something with a puncture belt because grit and other foreign bodies still appear on the track often enough.
