  • On this thread just me (perhaps, considering I only posted 1 hour ago) and thousands of others worldwide. How many Swiss mechanical movements (not knocking them as I have plenty) run at 36000 BPH?

Whilst I would grant that most Swiss movements run slower, they certainly made some, not all of which were restricted to the top of the range models.

I think this one found it's way into a Cyma because of the Synchron grouping which included Girard-Perragaux - who had been part of the collective which added an auto module onto the AS1687. More details about that can be found here.

  • ^ That would be great! If you can, thanks vey much :)

Okey doke , will let you know when I have one ready to post .

  • I might go....

  • Have you seen that Manchester United Hublot? Iain needs to buy it.

  • I hate soccer, why would I even consider it?

  • Anything going that fast makes me feel sick , and a little nervous it's gonna catch fire !

The Tag Mikrograph takes it to another level. 1/100th sec chrono... 90 min power reserve on the chrono.

Then you have the movement just for the chronograph. Its escapement operates as a blazing 360,000bph - wow!

  • I hate soccer, why would I even consider it?

You don't dive but you have a diving watch.

Come on Iain, it screams CHAINBREAKER!

  • Only 12 large...

  • grim

  • Nah, there's an Omega Constellation Chronometer that's only listed at a £250-£350 estimate.... bargain of the sale.

  • Do any Breitling owners want a cheap blue croc strap on a folding buckle ? 24mm width . Found in a box of bits at home never used ? £ 200 ono absolute bargain , cant buy the buckle for that !

  • ^^ I was eyeing that up.

Think Im going to try and go along to that, could be fun. No Arsenal game that day, so may as well do something.

  • Fancy placing a few bids for me Joe? Will pay you in Arsenal tickets...

  • ^^ We're at home to Sunderland so I can't make it but if that goes for less than £500, it's an absolute steal.

  • Fancy placing a few bids for me Joe? Will pay you in Arsenal tickets...

If you're serious and I do go - then I'll drop you a text.

    My fee. Your...Junghans :0

  • That auction list is dangerous! Booklet seems to suggest you can do it online, which can only really make matters worse!

  • Yo fools! I've been reading the couple of articles linked above, interesting to see that most watches seem to share the same guts. Can anyone give me any info about cheap old Russian watches? Are they all crap/ generally fairy decent/ very hit and miss? I know nothing about watches but kinda like that Cold War look.

    Stay hard, stay heavy

  • Don't listen to anything about watches on here , you will learn nothing ! Except each of us is right about what we think is the truth !

  • The Tag Mikrograph takes it to another level. 1/100th sec chrono... 90 min power reserve on the chrono.

    I'd rather rock this:

  • Tbh Tag's aren't my thing. For me, the brand is still tarnished by the 80's and 90's where everyone seemed to either have one or got a fake instead. That said I do think they are producing some interesting stuff these days (like the Mikrograph).

Heurer's (pre-Tag) on the other hand are still interesting for some reason... Maybe it's just the 'Tag' bit.

  • I'd rather rock this:

I'd love that, if it was in Hulk sizes...

    So sad it's probably not.

    It's 41mm Tag-Heuer-Carrera-Jack-Heuer-80-Limited-Edition-51
    Cal 17

  • I like this... Tag Bullhead
    Carrera Caliber 1887 Jack Heuer

45mm Sister model to the previous one.

  • Don't listen to anything about watches on here , you will learn nothing !

This X1000 and never ask CB for sartorial advice ;)

  • And don't listen to their satirical advice
