    Im sorry but I hope you realise this is utter tripe? We have always had the finances to do this. It is the board that decides to wait to spend money before Champions League first round is confirmed, this basically covers the costs of transfers in. This is why we waited till after the second Fener game. It's a risk averse strategy.

    If you add the wage savings to the revenue of the champions league games, along with attributed revenues to do with the Ozil signing - then it doesn't cost the club very much at all, if anything.

    The selling of RVP to Manchester United, was one of the single worst pieces of transfer business, ever.
