Seems like Garmin came up with a deviced specifically aimed at the bike touring market:

Basically an 810 stripped down of almost everything but with improved maps/touring/routes functions.
The plus version comes with ANT+ HRM support, temperature sensor and barometric altimeter.
I am curious to see a more detailed review in the future...
