Just bought a cyclocross bike, so have been doing a few short rides.
Yesterday went around some parks in south london; peckham rye, dulwich, brockwell and hilly fields. Good fun but nothing technical and too many sun-worshippers.
Today rode out to elmer's end to do the 'three pimples' cx route, but realised when i got there that my garmin had decided to not load the ride.
Instead i found a small forest with some really nice steep and root covered sections and did lots of bombing about trying to jump branches and roots. only fell off once, must try harder.
