My S2L does an occasional 10 mile commute but comes into it's own when things get social after work and the tube is the best solution for the return journey.
Also the handiest local transport - so much so that I gave my 'pub bike' away.
It was great on a family trip to Manchester last week - took the bike with me and escaped the inlaw mayhem to explore the area.
