  • As amazing the scenery is, that look fucking boring.

So, when faced with the magic of riding a couple of miles out above the crystal-clear ocean in absolutely perfect weather, what do you feel is missing from that moment? Steep hairpins? A conversation about Japanese touring tyres with Grant Petersen? A chance to assume the 'aero' position on a 35kg rando bike?

  • needs moar spacers

The fact the thread title isn't crystal-clear ocean porn, it's road porn.

    #amidoingitrite?

  • the Tim Healy Pass on the Beara Peninsular in West Cork Ireland.

  • ...that look fucking boring.

It does look better for swimming or sailing than cycling. Or speeding along in a Donzi powerboat pretending your in a Michael Mann film.

  • just like road across Northern Ireland :D

  • Needs moar filters.

(Was that in the ToB two years ago? It was raining? Hmm, maybe not that one. What hill am I thinking of?).

  • Guildford last year?

    Or a Hovis advert?

    Constitution Hill in Swansea.

  • That's the one! I thought it was more built up. Cheers, Andy!

  • Its the hill from the Hovis ad. Not my pic btw, but I have ridden it a few times.

  • That'd be gorgeous to cruise down ... Sun on your face, smooth easy rolling tarmac, the sea all around. What's not to like?

  • As soon as I'm fit for fight, I volunteer to do a forum sponsored investigation and report back.

  • Crna Gora Republik (Montenegro), Durmitor National Park (UNESCO WHS), just spent my holidays there... flabbergasting.

  • not bad, bit wet though

  • Did a bit of cycling in Mallorca over the summer which included Sa Calobra - a spectacular decent (then turn around at the beach and climb back up)

  • And me just approaching it...

  • I really really must do Sa Calobra when I'm over there next. That loop bit looks like something from a Scalextric track.

  • Can thoroughly recommend it.

  • I've driven down that road, would absolutely love to go there with a bike.
