@jaw, not sure whether we were going for lamela as well as Willian or we went for him instead of. The same with Eriksen, would we be in for him if we had gotten Willian and lamela, or was he the next in line when Willian went to Chelsea. Obviously lamela hasn't signed, though the deal is as good as done, and Eriksen we're I negotiations with.
I'm not so sure about the wage bill rising dramatically, think you're underestimating the money flowing through the premier league and I don't think any of the players we've bought in were, or are, on superstar money, so maybe 30-50k which with the wages taken off kind of equals out (hopefully)
Also with these two signings it will silence some of the fans who've been accusing us of stodgy defensive play. Lamela and Eriksen (if he comes) will give us a really creative attacking edge, once they settle in..
