Dan has commented on elbow and forearm checking in the London Open, over in the Polo Videos thread. I think the discussion is more relevant here.
I'd be interested to hear from whoever reffed those final games; it'd be interesting to hear if they think the game was clean or that they couldn't see all the stuff that wasn't called.
We discussed giving more power to the assistant refs (goal judges) in this tournament but I'm not sure I saw a ref consult an assistant, other than for a goal decision, and I don't think I saw an assistant call a foul.
