The problem is that only the portion of seat tube above the tt junction is reamed to 27.2mm, the rest of the seat tube below that has a wider bore. This places an awful lot of stress on about 70mm of aluminium, and is a known design fault of the frame.

That sounds like an accident waiting to happen due to a poor design. Write to them and complain. Whats' the frame?
