Anyone got a 56cm track frame or convertable old road frame? Looking for something not massively expensive to build up for my girlfriend to see if she likes SS.

Got a Mielec Mashalike XL (58) which I've part-built, busy with too many other projects to finish it. You can borrow it for a few months whilst she decides.
Can't remember what size you ordered, but if your shiny Mielec is 56, lend her that and borrow mine you lanky git.

What's the build/ride quality of the Mielec Mash? I like the look and was tempted.

I didn't go for smooth welds and what I got was smoother than I expected.
Ask for ovalised chainstays, I've had problems with spider clearance on 144BCD.
Can't comment on the ride.

I am selling a 56cm IRO mark V, has a dent in the top tube and a few dents but is an excellent, solid frame. Not thought about a price yet but £80 I reckon is very fair.

i may be interested in this if the first poster is not - does it come with forks?

Aha, cheers for the help everyone, especially Emyr, unfortunately mine is of the 'lanky fuck' size so bit too big for her but I reckon we're going to with the Fuji, seems pretty much perfect, including the colour!

And I rode it for a while so it's got street cred and sex appeal, you'll defo be getting it after building that up.

Yep, comes with original forks and a headset which is in good nick.

• #5017
Wash it first. Like really thoroughly.

• #5018
It'll never get clean.

I'll use a healthy mix of bleach, de-otter and common decency to get rid of Rob.

• #5020
Kicking him in the knee is the most effective way to get rid of him at the moment.

-
• #5022
Yeah forks are drilled and there is a rear brake bridge for SS, can get some pics up at some point soon. Maybe tonight if I get the chance, otherwise it will likely be next week as I plan to take my touring bike on a test run this weekend.

looking for a short 40-80mm 1/8 ahead stem with 26 clamp preferred but can get a shim.
Some flat pedals for MTB, decent condition, thin profile and big platform preferred.
And some MTB spd compatible shoes, size 9, decent condition or very cheap plz.
Edit: Also, sorry pasipanopane, I think I am going to keep the IRO, I've built up a sensible touring/commuting/town bike, but its just too sensible so I am going to keep the fixed fun machine and use the sensible bike for touring and rainy commutes..
4 bikes and counting.... Oh dear.
I've tried but I can't get on with these so---> For Sale Nitto B123's Cro Mo - 40cm width - 25.4mm clamp --- excellent cond. £30
I'll try here first then the main forum.
