First of all, there isn't a lot of info on Diamant - I know that there is/was Belgian Diamant and German one. Comparing their decals to my frame, I can see logos/fonts of both - 'D' on the head tube and 'DIAMANT' on the seat tube point to Belgian, but 'Diamant' on the top tube looks like German decal..
The BB is of Italian standard.
I think the original paintjob was silver, with red head tube, lugs cut-outs and seat tube fragment.
I am also not convinced about the 'Columbus tubing' part - the remains of the decal on the seat tube does not look like a decal usually put there, size-wise. On the other hand, the campag seatpost (stuck badly, but I've managed!) is 27.0.. The frame, with fixed cup, headset races and without fork weighs ~2 kg +/- 100g.
I am also curious about the 'Special AA Type Competition' decal..
Hi guys!
I bought recently a frame listed as 'Diamant, Columbus tubing' and I'm trying to get to know a little bit more about it.
The photos of the listing are here: http://tufotki.pl/redK9#p452635
