argghhh... just bought a frame... couldn't resist... as an improvement/upgrade to my daily beater/commuter, which will now be less of a beater as a consequence, so it will become a bigger deal to lock it... so then I will need a beater surely... ah! I'm such an idiot!
Picked up the frame on saturday, built most of the bike on sunday morning, and made it rideable last night just on time for the return of the rain...
Ignore / forgive the poor setting of the mudgards, on the front I miss a clip so this will be sorted at some point... at the rear, the bike has tighter clearances than the previous frame so that's the best I can do... was a touring bike, not it's an audax... I need smaller mudgards maybe and swap 25c for 23c, but that works for now so I'm happy...
I need to install the front mech still, which will be, along the brake calipers and levers, the stem and the handlebars, the only original remaining parts of that "bike"!!
Nice details... The seat cluster, pointy lugs, unusually (to me at least) cut fork crown, and sweet stronglight headset that came with it... All dropouts are campag... http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/5390/lflz.jpg
Oh, I forgot to say, I did a bit of rattlecan business as well, too much surface rust for a bike I will be using in all weather...
