Sells iPhone
v
both Android and iOS will be supported
Biggest concern is battery life, I can't just swap the battery round when it run out...
-
• #4204
We sure it won't have an accessible battery?
-
• #4205
Pah, just get one of those plug in chargers. Or be a two phones drug dealer.
-
• #4206
Doesn't it have it's own battery?
If so then two phones would do nothing.

A very good book to start with;
Hot Shots: How to Refresh Your Photos: Amazon.co.uk: Kevin Meredith: Books
Seems a lot of the negative reviews feel it's directed more towards film rather than digital users.

Well, shit. the sensor cleaning kit arrived and I've basically made it worse. FUUUUUU
-

Fixation charge £55 to do it.

Take it to the professionals, every time. No pro I know would ever clean their own 35mm sensor. The only sensor I've ever cleaned myself is on a Medium-Format digital back, as the access is so much greater.
I find it quite ironic that sensor cleaning kits are marketed to the owners of the most difficult-to-clean cameras (DSLR APS-C and smaller sensors). -

Serious question - where do I find out more info about this.
Very interested.

Beats mounting a Gopro on a quadcopter.
-
• #4215
^^ Random pic I found, goggle image it.

Quadcopters are easier to fly though... You can mount DSLRs to them also (if they're big enough of course).
-
• #4217
Can't imagine having a DSLR is that far forward is gonna make it any easier to fly either.
-
• #4218
Heaven forbid that one might actually need skill and patience to accomplish something.

Can't wait for vsco for android.
Also those lens cameras look rather interesting,

Might find this interesting then.

May I add that I fly RC helis from time to time and those 6+ channel ones get very complicated and expensive very quickly, looking at over a grand just to get the thing in the air, that's no including the cost of the camera weight, balancing weights or mount.Quadcopters are easier to fly though... You can mount DSLRs to them also (if they're big enough of course).
This is true on some levels, it's easy to fly a basic one but to get anywhere near the same control a skilled RC heli pilot would get with you need to spend a lot of money and know what you're doing.
Can't imagine having a DSLR is that far forward is gonna make it any easier to fly either.
The little helis take load pretty well actually, it will obviously be balanced around the camera but I've mounted a gopro to considerably smaller ones with only small weights to balance it out, the rest is all 'trim' done to the heli itself.
If anyone was looking for a basic setup I could help them get off the ground.

How about AR.Drone 2.0 ?
-
• #4222
I honestly think they're a bit shit, especially for the price.
-
• #4223
Controlling them with your smartphone is very limiting, I mean it's a pretty neat toy if you wanna spend that kinda money on something for a kid or a gadget guy but I'd much rather have a simple 4 channel RC heli that's more fun to fly EG this.
And a mini camera like this.
I actually ordered 3 of those mini cams yesterday to try and put on a mini helicopter, may report back with results but really it's just for myself, if it works out well I may scale it up and get my DSLR on a larger heli to film some snowboarding.
This is getting a little beyond photography so I'll happily take the nerd talk elsewhere.

Fair enough but still thanks for the feedback; always wanted to know if these are any good; never had one in my hands.

Keep the talk here if you want, I'm keen to know more
Bloody hell... That's shocking - but good.
