Basically a NFC chip that pairs with the phone to unlock it - that you can clip to your belt etc. Personally I see the sticker versions being more helpful - for a desk/at home etc etc

one of the reasons i'm rooting my phone is to enable both nfc reading whilst the phone is locked and the ability to switch pattern lock off and on so i can essentially do the same thing with any nfc chip.

i dont intend to use nfc for payment stuff so the security concerns are not that bad.
